Frequently Asked Questions
What is a review session, anyway?
When a guy stands up in front of a group of students, tells a joke or two, and teaches you nearly everything you need to know for your AP exam. But seriously, these review sessions are cumulative reviews of the most pertinent material for the AP exam. Because of the comprehensive nature of the AP exams, this requires two days of review, each day consisting of seven hours. We know this seems like a long time, but short and long breaks will be provided and students typically spend around 7 hours in a typical school day as it is… not to mention that you get college credit when you pass the AP exam! Included in the review is a review packet we have prepared for you, practice problems, test-taking strategies, and some extra help before the exam (in the form of Q&A sessions done via the web).
How are these review sessions broken up?
The review session are broken into two parts (halves); Part A and Part B. Review session A is done in a large format including all students who have signed up for the review. There is only one review session A that all students must attend. Then, students can choose to sign up for any of the two review session B’s that are offered.
When and where will these review sessions take place?
The exact venues for these review sessions have yet to be determined as most ballrooms do not book this far in advance. However, the tentative schedule for the review sessions and applicable markets are as follows:

Essentially, you can either take your entire session in one weekend or take the first half one weekend, wait a couple weeks, and then take the second half. As soon as more detailed information becomes available, we will email out said details, so make sure to be on the mailing list to receive said updates.
How personal is the help I am getting?
Unfortunately, there simply isn't enough time to do private tutoring for so many students right before the exam (though the review sessions are each capped at 35 students, with a grand total of only 70 students per class). But, we ALWAYS make ourselves available for any questions you have. We will always answer your questions, whether it's during a review, before or after a review, at a Q&A session, or by email. One could argue that we are much more in touch than a private tutor. Why? Because this is our full-time job and we care about the quality of the service we are providing.
But I am a very good student. I never skip class and I always do my homework. Do I still need to go to a review?
First of all, you ALWAYS do your homework? Always? You didn't skip one homework when you just HAD to watch that one episode of Grey’s Anatomy or Lost (because, really, what are the odds that ALL these people end up on this ONE island)? Really? Don't lie to me…..okay, that's what I thought.
Actually, a very high percentage of our students do make it to every single class and do all the applicable homework. Seriously. The better a student that you are, the more you realize that every last bit helps, and that there are people out there (us) that can make things a lot easier to learn. The quick pace of the reviews and comprehensive review packet mean that you spend less time studying than you would have on your own. And you are always going to have questions…which is why we are here. Finally, we know the AP tests better than anyone else. We know what you need to know and what you don't, so you don't waste time on things that aren't important.
Why are TutoringZone AP reviews so much better than any others?
Because there aren't any others, that's why!
Seriously though, we have great people who work very hard. They do reviews semester after semester for these same college classes and get better and better every time. It's the tutor's job to know absolutely everything about the class, the material, and the tests. Essentially, we have been tutoring the very college classes that you are attempting to NOT take when you get to college by opting out of them with your AP classes! And since we're not a school, we can actually try to have some fun.
How much does this program cost?
Normally $250 for the entire program, which is still only about $8 per hour of tutoring (as compared to around $50 per hour for your typical private tutor)
*Special current TZ discount: Only $200! This is about $6.67 per hour of tutoring! Our only stipulation is that you sign up before 12/31/06 in order to receive this discount. Order Now
What is this guarantee all about?
No legal mumbo-jumbo here. No limitations. TutoringZone has ALWAYS had the policy that if you aren't satisfied with what you get, you get your money back. That's it. If you have any questions about this whatsoever, email us .
