What the heck is a review session, anyway?
When a person you can relate to tells a funny joke, and teaches you everything you need to know for your exam. It takes about 3.5-4.5 hours usually, including a 10-15 minute break halfway. We know it's long…but hey, those exams make up most of your grade. Always included in the cost of the review is a review sheet we have prepared for you, and some extra help right before the exam (in the form of a Q&A session or 'TutoringZone hours'). For some of the harder classes, there are also weekly reviews for those that want more in-depth explanation and don't want to wait until the last minute. Each weekly review lasts about 2 hours. How personal is the help I am getting?
Unfortunately, there simply isn't enough time to do private tutoring with a few hundred people before a test. But, we ALWAYS make ourselves available for any questions you have. Whether it's during a review, before or after a review, at a Q+A session, or by email, one could argue that we are much more in touch than a private tutor. Why? Because this is our full-time job and we care about the quality of the service we are providing. Wait, that sounds too rehearsed….how about this: We really do give a sh#@ about your grade!
But I am a very good student and go to every class. Do I still need to go to a review?
First of all, every class? Every single one? You didn't miss one class when you were hung over or sick or just sick of your teacher? Really? Don't lie to me…..okay, that's what I thought.
Actually, a very high percentage of our students do make it to every single class. Seriously. The better a student that you are, the more you realize that every last bit helps, and that there are people out there (us) that can make things a lot easier to learn. The quick pace of the reviews and comprehensive review sheet mean that you spend less time studying than you would have on your own. And you are always going to have questions…which is what we are here for. Finally, we know the teachers and we know the tests better than anyone else. We know what you need to know and what you don't, so you don't waste time on things that aren't important.

Why are there review sessions for some classes and Smokin'Notes for others?
For some classes, you have to have a tutor go through and explain everything, and show how to work through problems. For other classes, though, notes (if they are done right) are sufficient. These classes tend to be much more about memorizing than working through problems.
What is this guarantee all about?
No legal BS here. TutoringZone has ALWAYS had the policy that if you aren't satisfied with the review, you get your money back. That's it. Of course, we cannot guarantee grades mostly because that lies on you (i.e. how much you study, how much time you put in, etc.). Why should I subscribe to the email list for my class?
So many people don't realize how important the email lists are until late in the semester. But you need to subscribe as soon as you consider going to a review or getting the Smokin'Notes. Why? Very important information, changes, and updates are sent out via email. If a location changes (which happens very infrequently) or we want you to have more examples right before the exam, we need a way of contacting you. Also, before the reviews, you will hear everything about parking and other important stuff.
