When TZ looks for a tutor we aren't looking for your typical tutor. First and foremost, you must know your stuff for the subject you would like to teach.

Just as important is your ability to communicate what you know. Most of the time people seek out a tutor, it isn’t because their professor doesn’t know their stuff. It is because he/she cannot communicate that knowledge in a language that the student can understand and appreciate. We pride ourselves in being able to make the material much more relevant and accessible to the college age student. Therefore, we really seek out outgoing and humorous people, and require that you are comfortable speaking in front of groups of people. If you’ve ever been to a TutoringZone review, you know exactly what we are talking about.

That being said, there is no tutoring experience required. We will put you through an intense training program. The hours are very flexible and variable.
